Our Mission is to serve individuals, families and senior citizens in order to reduce the impact of poverty through a variety of social services and community programs

The Eatonville Family Agency (EFA) has been serving the low-income and vulnerable citizens of southeast Pierce County since before 1983. EFA started as a two-person food bank in space donated by the Town of Eatonville. Currently the organization is governed by a board of volunteers and operated by Executive Director Gail Elliott, a dedicated staff of four employees and an army of volunteers. We have become the primary non-profit social service organization in the area. We provide a wide range of services such as food and clothing banks, DSHS outreach, rent and utility assistance, senior activities, respite care, school supplies, a backpack food program for school children and holiday baskets. The majority of our funding has been in the form of grants from various government programs, but as the size of the grants shrink in the current economic climate we must rely more heavily on the generosity of private donors.

 

The Eatonville Family Agency is the operating arm of the Eatonville Area Council. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation with less than 10% of our expenses going to administration and fundraising.
