For the past 40+ years, our agency has been the major hunger relief organization of the Eatonville area and southeast Pierce County, serving 580 square miles. This means our agency continues to be a vital resource for many families in need.

Eatonville Area Council began as a satellite office of the Pierce County Community Action Agency called Eatonville Multi-Purpose Center. It provided services to low-income, handicapped, and senior citizens in Southeast Pierce County. In January 1983, after losing funding from Pierce County, an agreement with the Town of Eatonville was obtained for the Multi-Purpose Center to relocate to a small house next to the Town Hall and Fire Department owned by the Town. Volunteers formed the Eatonville Area Council Advisory Board to request 501c3 status to help operate the Multi-Purpose Center.
In 1993, due to continued growth and need, the Eatonville Community Center was built to act as space to support the food bank program and general town needs.
Over the last 40 years serving the community, Eatonville Area Council, now dba Eatonville Family Agency, has received the support needed from many different sources through various grants and partnerships. Community support has also played a pivotal role in our ability to serve the community through monetary donations, in-kind (food, supplies, etc.), food drives, fundraising support, and help from volunteers.
Each supporter is a vital part of our agency, and together we have made an impact on the lives of our neighbors these 40+ years! The mission of the Eatonville Family Agency is to serve individuals, families and senior citizens in need and to reduce the impact of poverty through a variety of social services and community programs.
The Eatonville Family Agency provides services and programs to help our community members in need. We provide a food bank, backpack food program for school students, clothing bank, thrift store, senior citizen activities, youth activities, DSHS basic food assistance, holiday food and toys, school supplies, information & resources, and much more.
Our Board of Directors bring unique perspectives to our organization through their diverse backgrounds and expertise. They play an essential role in advising our policies, finances, and strategy to overall program goals. They act in a volunteer capacity in a variety of positions and committees to accomplish these strategic goals.

Our team of staff members come from various backgrounds, but food is our common ground. We are committed to providing spaces full of dignity and kindness for each person who walks through our doors seeking information, resources, and assistance, and those willing to join us as they offer their helping hand.
